"Grey Matters" (produced by Cynthia Daniels of Monk Music), Mariann's most ambitious and complex recording adventure, evolved naturally out of music she had written during 2007-09. Her style was greatly influenced by the musicians she was playing with at the time; RandolphA Hudson lll, Anthony Liberatore, Michael Weiskopf, Brett King and Bruce Beyer. Mariann's "Northeast Feast" recently appeared on the "One Guitar" compilation.
RORIE KELLY is a small redheaded tornado of sound. She cultivates a persona that is one part adorable, two parts badass rock-and-roll. First-time listeners often comment, “I can’t believe that voice came out of that body.” rorie writes catchy, melodic rock songs that she plays with enough passion to break guitar strings regularly—and goes right on playing without batting an eye. Rorie's "Eyes of Grey" recently appeared on the "One Guitar" compilation.
“Independent, free, and full of complexity. Difficult to cage. rorie kelly is that type of indie rock.” – LI Pulse Magazine
Claire Raby joins Rorie on harmony vocals on this recording date.
